Our Story

Some things are worth waiting for — and worth doing the hard way.

Yonkin's Maple Syrup isn't a brand built in a factory. It's something that grows slowly, season after season, from the same stretch of hardwood forest in Dushore, Pennsylvania. The taps go in each spring, the sap runs, and we boil it down the old way — open kettle, wood fire, patience.

The result is syrup that tastes like something real: deep, complex, with a richness you can't replicate in a lab. We bottle it small-batch, right here on Route 4018, and we'd love for you to taste the difference.

The Process

From tap to bottle — nothing rushed, nothing artificial.

Maple syrup takes time. We respect that by doing things the way they've always been done right.

01

Tap the Trees

Each March, we drill careful, respectful holes into mature sugar maples and insert spouts to collect the clear, sweet sap.

02

Collect & Transport

Sap is gathered daily from the lines and hauled back to the sugarhouse — where the real work begins.

03

Boil Down

Four or five gallons of sap yield just one quart of syrup. We boil it slowly in an open evaporator until it hits the perfect density.

04

Filter & Bottle

Hot syrup is filtered through fine wool to remove sugar sand, then immediately bottled while still warm — sealed tight for freshness.
